Golden State let Game 1 slip through their fingers after a colossal choke job down the stretch. Losses like that are pretty hard to bounce back from, especially against a veteran laden team like the Spurs. Let’s take a look at what Twitter has to say about this one.

Twitter Recap of Nuggets/Warriors Game 6

So, who stayed up late to watch the end of Nuggets/Warriors?  Yeah, me neither.  But luckily we have Twitter to let us know what happened.

Just like the Bulls vs Nets game, this game featured major injury news beforehand, except this time it was good new: David Lee was going to play after tearing his hip flexor in Game 1.

NBA All Star Weekend: Saturday Night Shenanigans

Growing up, the NBA All Star Weekend was my favorite time of the sports year, especially Saturday night. The Slam Dunk Contest was exciting, and players that were actually popular competed in the contest, the Three-Point Contest had superstars competing every year, and that was it. Done. End of story. There were no ridiculous contests made up just to get additional sponsorship money. It didn’t take four hours to complete the events. It was two hours of basketball fun, not this garbage that it has become today.

But, just like as when I was a kid, I always get excited for this weekend. It’s a little harder now, because I am a married man and the NBA is determined to make sure NBA junkies are not married or in a meaningful relationship by having All Star weekend on the weekend of Valentine’s Day, but that’s a different topic for another day.
