Last season Lewan garnered first-team All-American honors from nearly every media outlet in the country including the Associated Press, ESPN.com and Sports Illustrated among others. Lewan could have easily opted to bypass his senior season and enter last April’s NFL Draft where he would have been a first round pick, but instead opted to return for one last season in Ann Arbor, citing his desire to grow both as a person and a player.
